All-Ukrainian Research Conference "Peculiarities of Socio-Political Development and Modernization Processes in the Post-Soviet Countries"


On December 24, 2021, on the occasion of the Day of Diplomatic Service Employees of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian Research Conference "Peculiarities of Socio-Political Development and Modernization Processes in the Post-Soviet Countries" will be held at the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business.

Conference organizers: Department of Travel Business and Regional Studies, Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kharkiv, Kharkiv Diplomatic Club.

Conference focus areas:

  • Ukraine and the countries of Central Asia: current state and prospects of cooperation;
  • national interests and strategic priorities in relations between Ukraine and Kazakhstan;
  • interregional cooperation of China with the countries of Central Asia and Ukraine;
  • role of international organizations in solving global problems of today;
  • impact of Covid-19 on the global order: what will the world be like after the pandemic?
  • Southeast Asia in the priorities of the post-Soviet space;
  • Chinese project "One Belt, One Road" and geostrategic interests of Ukraine and Central Asia;
  • security issues in the Central Asian region and Ukraine;
  • modern regional conflicts in the post-Soviet space: models and tools of settlement;
  • modernization processes in the socio-political life of Central Asia and Ukraine;
  • Ukraine and Kazakhstan in the transit routes of the Great Silk Road: opportunities and challenges;
  • diasporas in the post-Soviet space;
  • inbound tourist flow from China as a driver of development of the tourism industry of Ukraine and Central Asia;

  • international tourism as a factor of international cooperation and others.

Applications submission deadline: December 17, 2021.

Beginning: at 10:00.

A plenary session is scheduled at the conference (in-person, Kharkiv Diplomatic Club, 7 Poltavskyi Shliakh St); work of sections (online on the Zoom platform).

Under favorable epidemiological conditions, sections of the conference will be held in-person (up to 20 people) at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The link, ID and password of the conference will be sent to participants by e-mail together with the conference program.
