The main task of the Department is to organize and implement high quality educational, research and methodological work on training foreign citizens, to conduct research in the specialization of the Department, to prepare academic staff and upgrade their research, pedagogical and professional skills.

To prepare foreign students for studying humanities and economics at higher education institutions, the faculty members of the Department of Socio-Economic Sciences have developed programs for the courses “History of Ukraine”, “Fundamentals of Economics”, “Economic and Social Geography of the World”, “History of Art”, “Fundamentals of Law”. They have also developed online courses.

Work is underway to improve the methodological support of the educational process, the use of computer technology and interactive teaching methods. The staff of the Department have prepared multimedia computer presentations for the following disciplines:

• Fundamentals of Economics
• Fundamentals of Economic and Social Geography of the World
• History of Ukraine (in Russian and English)
• History of Ukrainian Culture (in Russian and English)
